Triveni Rice Mill, a trusted rice supplier for countless families, has taken a pivotal step towards sustainability by installing a 528 kW solar power system in partnership with Gham Power. This project was completed in just one month, supporting the mill’s operational needs, and fostering a sustainable future. Before solar, the mill primarily relied on grid electricity and diesel generators to meet its power needs. However, it resulted in high operational costs, both financially and environmentally. Besides, regular use of diesel generators contributed to an increase in fuel expenses and a negative environmental impact due to emissions. Additionally, power cuts and high electricity bills kept disrupting the mill’s operations, making it hard to maintain a reliable power supply.
With the new solar installation, Triveni Rice Mill has significantly reduced its reliance on diesel, leading to major cost savings and reduced harmful emissions. The project promotes green energy, ensuring a sustainable, eco-friendly future while meeting the mill’s electricity needs. Despite facing logistical hurdles like high temperatures, food and transportation challenges, and demanding time management, our dedicated installation team successfully completed the project. The solar system now provides uninterrupted power, curbing carbon emissions and enhancing the mill’s operational efficiency.

This change is expected to cut their electricity bills by about 25.19% over 15 years and reduce carbon emissions by around 935.97 tonnes. Additionally, they will displace diesel usage by 169.28 kilolitres in 15 years, making operations more sustainable and environment friendly. The solar system now provides a consistent power supply, enabling Triveni Rice Mill to operate smoothly without interruptions. By embracing solar energy, the mill sets a standard for sustainable practices in the industry, proving that solar power can reduce environmental impact while improving operational efficiency and lowering costs.
